We have known it since Corona: empty shelves in supermarkets again and again.
As a result of the Ukraine war and the resulting sanctions, completely new products are now being hit.
Munich – First toilet paper, then flour and sunflower oil.
We are now used to the fact that certain products are in short supply when we go shopping.
This can have different reasons.
When it came to toilet paper, it was inconsiderate hamster buyers during the first corona lockdowns.
In the case of products such as sunflower oil, international sanctions as a result of the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine were partly to blame.
The pandemic and the war have upset supply chains around the world.
Delivery bottlenecks at Aldi: customers complain
Many products are affected by these delivery difficulties.
According to the
Berliner Morgenpost
, a company spokesman for Aldi said when asked by a customer on Facebook: “The fact remains that there are currently delivery problems across all competition and industries.
Even in these challenging times, it is our aim to offer a wide range with sufficient availability.
Of course, I can understand that it is annoying when you have repeatedly not received an item when you made a purchase.”
Therefore, they would also introduce additional items where possible defects occur.
In addition, the branches would be supplied daily.
Aldi Süd: Delivery bottlenecks now also for cat food
Now another product seems to have been hit, as the
Berliner Morgenpost
reports: cat food.
So for the first time it affects our pets and not us. Apparently there are delivery problems here too and the first customers are already complaining.
According to the newspaper, a customer wrote on Aldi Süd's Facebook page: "When will you have cat food again?"
Cachet's 100 gram trays have been unavailable in local markets for weeks.”
The discounter replied with little satisfaction for the customer: "There are currently supply bottlenecks for cat food.
Unfortunately, we cannot yet say when these will be resolved.” According to the
Berliner Morgenpost
, cat food is also said to be in short supply at Lidl or in the pet store chain Fressnapf.
