On October 13, on Amazon Prime Video, viewers will once again be able to dive into the intimacy of Orelsan.
The date marks the broadcast of the second part of
Never Show That to Anyone,
the documentary directed by Clément Cotentin, the rapper's younger brother, who followed him for nearly twenty years with his camera, the equivalent of 2000 hours of filming.
Accompanied by a short video, the announcement was posted by Orelsan himself on Twitter.
"I started filming from the first small rooms where there weren't many people yet, I was the little brother, convinced that he was going to hit everything"
, declared Orelsan's brother to present his project, one year ago.
Privileged witness, Clément Cotentin evokes the originality of the career of this son of teachers from a small town in Normandy, from his beginnings to the biggest sold-out concert halls.
In the short trailer presented by Orelsan this Monday, the public finds moments of doubt, family, close friends, including producer Ablaye or Skread.
This second part takes place after the release of the album
La Fête est finie
, in 2017. A question that underlies the film:
“How was my brother going to come back with his greatest success.
I wanted to film everything, from the first word written to the last note played
,” says the director.
It tackles the journey that led the rapper to
Civilization,
his fourth album released in 2021, smashing sales records.
Because the most complicated thing is not to break into music but to stay, underlines his friend Ablaye.
