The most sustainable collection ever presented by
Stella McCartney,
the one for Spring / Summer 2023, green up to 87% of the total garments, parades in the square of the Center Pompidou during Paris Fashion Week.
The fashion show also aims to be an open-air democratic event, where the models walk on colorful paths, in homage to the French cultural poles.
The collection was born starting from an artistic inspiration, that of a slogan of the legendary Japanese artist Yoshitomo Nara: "Change history", also placed on the cream sweater with red characters that parades.
A phrase that, applied to Stella's fashion, is immediately attributable to the designer's fixed idea of changing people's mentality, directing them to sustainable purchases, to save the planet and its inhabitants.
The collection reaffirms the DNA and the codes of the British designer.
The typical
Sensual minimalism of the brand
emphasizes the silhouettes and pervades the entire wardrobe.
The garments are light, almost ethereal.
The soft cut alternates with the bias one, in the casual style as in the formal one.
Savile Row's perfect tailored cut can be seen in the bias-cut skirt, but also in the blazers with prominent shoulders.
Loose weave fishnet stockings show a single leg protruding from the asymmetrical hem of the skirt.
The lace of the lingerie is as seductive as the body jewelry, chains and diamond crystals peeking out from under the jackets.
Metallic silver crystals dot the classic T-shirt dresses, with sculptural cape sleeves.

Stella's iconic garments become a canvas for Yoshitomo Nara's art, featuring illustrations of big-eyed girls, children, animals and activist slogans.

A glamorous evening outfit includes all-over embroideries of lead-free crystals, cut-out dresses and flowing tops worn over asymmetrical skirts.

Crystals also embellish the new version of the iconic Falabella, clutch bags and S-Wave party bags.
The S-Wave shoulder bag is made using an alternative to animal skin, made from grapes, voila.
While the Frayme Mylo️ is composed of mycelium, the root structure of mushrooms.
There are also Pillowy Frayme bags, while the sex appeal of the summer is intensified by the vegan strappy Heel Opanca with padded sole.
The collection includes a special T-shirt, the first garment made in regenerated cotton.
Carbon emissions were reduced to a minimum for the show.
