The fast of Yom Kippur is just around the corner, and if you haven't yet arranged for something sweet to help you break the fast, voila!

Celebs made you a light and wonderful cake from basic ingredients, which will go well with a cup of tea.

, from the "Mafa Naaman" chain, who baked a hearty and sweet cake with a spread of dates and nuts.

  • Ingredients:

  • 3 eggs

  • 1 cup of sugar

  • 1 bag of vanilla sugar

  • ¾ date spread

  • 1 bag of baking powder

  • 1 teaspoon of soda for drinking

  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon

  • 2 ½ cups plain white flour

  • 1 tea bag (regular tea)

  • 1 ¼ cup boiling water

  • preparation method:

  • Heat the oven to 170 degrees

  • Mix together with a whisk the eggs with sugar, oil, vanilla sugar, and spread dates

  • Add the baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and flour to the mixture, and mix well until the ingredients are incorporated into the mixture

  • Fill a glass with boiling water (200 ml) and let it sit for half a minute. Pour into the cake mixture and mix well, then add another quarter cup of boiling water

  • Grease the muffin pan, or two English cake pans.

    Grease well, add the mixture to the pan and bake at 170 degrees

  • After five minutes of baking, open and take out the cake a little and sprinkle walnuts on top, so they don't sink.

  • Bake for about 35 minutes, depending on the type of oven.

    You should check with a toothpick and if it comes out dry with crumbs on it, the cake is ready

  • To maintain softness, it is recommended to store in an airtight container
