The best thing that can happen to apples.
This classic cake takes a little longer to eat, but it's not difficult to prepare.
So go ahead - dare!
PS If you like, you can exchange the apple juice for sparkling wine or cider 🍾.
That's how it's done:
For the delicious cake you need these ingredients:
shortcrust pastry:
250 g flour
170 grams of butter
170 grams of sugar
1 egg
pinch of salt
Apple pudding filling:
700 g tart apples
2 packs of vanilla pudding powder
100 grams of sugar
1 packet of vanilla sugar
500 ml naturally cloudy apple juice
sour cream:
300 grams of whipped cream
300 g sour cream
80 grams of sugar
cinnamon, to taste
Besides that:
Springform pan (26 cm diameter)
The preparation is not difficult:
For the shortcrust pastry:
knead the flour, butter, sugar, egg and salt by hand into a dough.
Shape into a ball, wrap in cling film and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
For the filling:
peel and core the apples and cut into thin slices.
Mix the pudding powder, sugar and vanilla sugar with 100 ml apple juice until smooth.
Bring the remaining apple juice to a boil in a saucepan.
Pour the mixed pudding into the boiling apple juice while stirring.
Simmer for 1 minute.
Remove from the stove and fold in the apple slices.
Preheat the oven to 180°C for a circulating air.
Using your hands, press the shortcrust pastry into a greased springform pan, forming an edge about 5 cm high.
Add the apple pudding filling, smooth out and bake for 50 minutes.
Leave to cool completely and remove from the mold.
For the sour cream: Whip the
cold whipped cream with the sugar until stiff.
Gently fold in the sour cream.
Spread over the cooled cake.
Sprinkle with cinnamon if you like.
Relish!
