ROME - The Sistine Lanes with their 120 meters of frescoes in the treatment complex of Santo Spirito in Sassia in Rome.

The cloisters and the extraordinary rows of San Francesco della Vigna, which with the facade created by Palladio for six hundred years overlooks the Venice lagoon.

The complex of Suor Orsola Benincasa in Naples and nineteenth-century Florence in the footsteps of Baroness Favard, with the exceptional openings of the Palazzo di città on Lungarno Vespucci and the country villa in Rovezzano.

But also the Einaudi Campus, designed in Turin by the English star architect Norman Foster and included by CNN among the ten most spectacular university buildings in the world.

Or the port of La Spezia, so far never open to the public because it is always operational.

With 700 places that can be visited in 350 cities, the Fai Autumn Days are back,

A surprising, sometimes unexpected journey among castles, palaces, hospitals, prisons, schools, parks, churches, convents, villages surrounded by nature and Made in Italy industries.

Yes, because, as President Marco Magnifico reminds us, bringing Fai as a guest of the Municipality of Rome for the first time, among the successes of these 30 years the Fund boasts "14 thousand exceptionally open places", visited by "over 12 million Italians" accompanied by "an army of 145,000 volunteers".

But also the merit of having discovered a "new intangible heritage", an "eccentric" heritage, ranging from industrial archeology to the "handicraft workshops of the Community of San Patrignano that we are opening this year".

"A'

eccentricity which is a necessary expansion of the concept of heritage.

In Rome - recalls the mayor Roberto Gualtieri - we will have the first hospital in Europe as the Rai headquarters in via Asiago ", which today is" that of Fiorello - adds the Rai Director for Sustainability, Roberto Natale - but it was also that of the speech for the Armistice of General Badoglio. "And therefore, in the long ride presented by the deputy director general for Cultural Affairs of Fai, Daniela Bruno, there is also Palazzo Diotti in Milan, seat of the Prefecture that hosts the visiting heads of state; the monumental complex of the Carmine in Palermo, where it will be exceptionally possible to climb the bell tower; Palazzo Bacaredda in Cagliari with that style that evokes the Aragonese Gothic. But also the House of Emerging Technologies in Matera,

"Businesses - comments the president of Museimpresa and director of the Pirelli Foundation, Antonio Calabrò - are Italian heritage not only for their work, but because they are the custodians of the particular attitude of our country, where things have been produced in the shadow of bell towers since the Middle Ages beautiful that the world likes ".

Created with the collaboration of the Anci, the Days support the FAI fundraising campaign Let's remember to save Italy and close the Rai Week dedicated to cultural heritage in collaboration with the Fund (10-16 October).

"Since 1975, FAI has raised and invested 140 million euros", remembers general manager Angelo Maramai.

Today it counts "71 assets including monuments and places of nature" and "another three will be added in 2023".

But above all, the great challenge for the future looks to the environment, where FAI wants to be at the forefront by 2030.

"From today to 2024 - he announces - we will invest 4 million euros for the ecological transition of the Foundation".
