In Novembre by Cédric Jimenez, Sandrine Kiberlain shares the bill with Anaïs Demoustier. Both embody the members of the anti-terrorist brigade. For Madame Figaro they play the game of our interview “Entre-Deux”.

Wednesday October 5 was released in

November

, the fifth feature film by Cédric Jimenez, centered on the hunt for the terrorists of November 13, 2015. After the sulphurous

BAC Nord

, a breathtaking new detective film, inspired by real events, where the director follows the reaction and investigation of the intelligence and police services after the attacks in Paris and Saint-Denis, in 2015. Alongside Jean Dujardin, Sandrine Kiberlain plays the role of Héloïse, who heads the anti-terrorist sub-directorate of the judicial police, and Anaïs Demoustier that of Inès, an investigator from the brigade.

For

Madame Figaro

, the two actresses play the game of the cross interview.

They salute the point of view adopted by Cédric Jimenez and the way in which the filmmaker "communicated his energy" behind the scenes.

I was often quite impressed by what we were shooting.

Sandrine Kiberlain.- Anaïs, was there a scene that particularly marked you?

Anaïs Demoustier .-

I was often quite impressed by what we were shooting.

And in particular the scene of the attack, by the great technical means, and then at the end, the special effects too, since there was this fire.

AD- Sandrine, what made you want to play in this film?

SK-

The point of view, the angle chosen by Cédric.

To be very honest,

BAC Nord

too.

Afterwards, I was a little reluctant, because this attack traumatized us all in different places.

And when I read the script, what decided me was the backstage angle of the police, the angle of the investigation, the angle of the hunt.

And I was also happy to play the chef.

I had never played a chef.

“I have a lot of composure in big events”

Sandrine Kiberlain

AD- What do you have in common with your character and what sets you apart?

SK-

I have a lot of composure in big events.

And zero in mini little stuff.

I also have a bit of a natural authority, I don't need to force it.

AD-

We feel that all the same: something quite straight, or imposing.

SK-

Yes, except my character doesn't blush with red patches all over his neck.

SK- What did you appreciate most about Cédric Jimenez's way of directing?

AD-

His way of communicating his energy.

The main thing is that he gave me confidence.

SK-

It was also very nice to see someone very focused, very inhabited, but who at the same time has a gentleness, remains very human, very…

AD-

Yes, in pleasure.

And there is all the same this device that he puts in place, which I had never known: he illuminates everything from the outside.

There is no spotlight in the shot: the cameramen are free to shoot 360 degrees all the time.

I didn't always know where the cameras were and it felt like it was all fiction.
