Our last conversation with Martin Gore, keyboardist, guitarist, main songwriter and composer of Depeche Mode, dates back to 2013 in Paris.
With his accomplice Andrew Fletcher, he had spoken to us at length about their album “Delta Machine”.
But on Tuesday, in an old Berlin theater created by playwright Bertolt Brecht, Martin Gore and singer Dave Gahan announced their return to two, without the third founding member of the British group.
Their friend “Fletch” died suddenly on May 26 of aortic dissection, a rare vascular disease.
He was 60 years old.
