(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, OCTOBER 06 - The European Union extends anti-Moscow sanctions in response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine also to the Russian ultra-nationalist philosopher and political scientist AlexanderDugin and to three Russian musicians, all believed to be supporters of the invasion of Ukraine.
Considered one of the main inspirers of Vladimir Putin's policy, Dugin is the father of Darya Dugina, killed in an attack in Moscow in August.
The EU has decided to include them in the list of those sanctioned with the accusation of having "ideologically and theologically justified the annexation of Crimea and Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine, seeing it as a 'liberation' of Ukraine from Western influence" .
The EU has also added Russian musicians Nikolay Rastorguyev, frontman of the Lyube group, Yulia Chicherina and Oleg Gazmanov to its black list of sanctions.
The three were sanctioned for supporting the war in Ukraine for various reasons.
