As the season opener of House of the Dragon draws to a close, many are already thinking about the future of the fantasy series.
How many time jumps are left?
How many seasons are in it?
And who could be new to the cast?
The HBO series "House of the Dragon" has so far made great strides through George RR Martin's book "Fire & Bloods".
At this rate of narration, many fans are wondering how much material is left - and perhaps also how many jumps in time can still be expected in the ten-part season opener.
At the same time, various casting options are already brewing in the rumor mill for the next season, which will start shooting in spring 2023 (we reported).

In the recently released seventh episode, titled "Driftmark," we found ourselves in year 120 of the Westeros calendar, which aligns with the infamous conquest of the first Targaryen king, Aegon.
Originally, however, the story of "House of the Dragon" began in "101 AC" with the Great Council of Harrenhal, where Viserys (Paddy Considine) was chosen as heir to the throne.
However, the majority of the early episodes took place in the year 105. You can read about the time jump that viewers can expect after the eighth episode at serial junkies.de.
