At least

82 people have been killed in the repression of the riots following the death of Mahsa Amini

by Iranian authorities in the city of Zahedan in the south-east of the country since 30 September.

This was announced by Amnesty International, stating that in the violent repression that followed the Friday prayers of September 30, the Iranian security forces killed at least 66 people,

including children.

Since then, another 16 people have been killed in the crackdown conducted by the authorities, Amnesty added, warning that the toll is likely to be even higher.

Meanwhile this morning the Iranian state TV broadcast what it claims to be

the "confessions" of espionage by two Frenchmen arrested last May.

In a video broadcast by the Arabic-language channel Al-Alam, the French teacher union official

Cecile Kohler claims that she is an "agent of DGSE", the French secret service.

Kohler and her partner Jacques Paris have been detained in Iran since May 7 and are accused by the authorities of wanting to stir up trade union unrest in the country.

The spread by Iranian TV of what is presented as a "confession" of espionage by two Frenchmen, Cécile Kohler and Jacques Paris, who were stopped in Iran in May, are

"an unworthy, repulsive, unacceptable and contrary staging. to international law ": this is what the foreign ministry of Paris affirms

, adding that" this antics reveals the contempt for human dignity that characterizes the Iranian authorities ".

The Quai d'Orsay therefore launches an

appeal for the "immediate release" of the two citizens.

Today, the al-Alam TV site has released what are presented as "confessions" of espionage by the two Frenchmen.

In a video montage, a woman who speaks French declares her name is Cécile Kohler and that she is an agent of the secret services DGSE, the intelligence services of France.

Meanwhile, for

Alessia Piperno,

the Italian stopped in Iran "For Alessia it is a horrible moment, but it will end. Anyone who has the opportunity to speak to Alessia should tell her

not to surrender to the extortion of a false confession. Whatever the verdict of the Iranian court is we must remember that the purpose is to set a price for her in negotiations with Italy.

That is why I tell Alessia's family to be strong and have hope. Tehran has arrested her because now she hopes to have something in return, which means that they are willing to let her go. "

This is the message of Kylie Moore-Gilbert, a 36-year-old Australian-British ex-prisoner in Evin prison, in Iran, where the Italian travel blogger now lives.
