One person was killed in a knife attack on the well-known hotel mile in Las Vegas on Thursday, and several others were injured by stab wounds.
The police initially spoke of five injuries on Twitter.
She later added that more victims would be taken to hospitals.
The severity of her injuries is unclear.
A suspect has been arrested.
The incident reportedly happened on the northern part of Las Vegas Boulevard near the Encore and Wynn hotels and the Fashion Show shopping center.
The population was asked to avoid the area around the crime scene.
Television images showed police vehicles and ambulances.
