Liron Weizman reveals: "I went through humiliation, curses and spitting" | Israel today

The beloved presenter revealed a less glamorous chapter of her life: adolescence • "I wasn't the queen of the class, and there was a group of boys who bullied me a lot" • And despite everything, she signed off with an optimistic message

Not everything is glittering:

"Big Brother" host Liron Weizman was asked by surfers to go back to the time of his youth, and recount experiences from those years.

She surprised when she shared with them an unbearable difficulty accompanied by physical and verbal violence from her friends at school.

The host of "Big Brother" may not have thought that the short series of questions she offered to her 228,000 followers on Instagram would open a Pandora's box, and make her talk about one of the most difficult periods in her life - in which she suffered severe damage to her dignity and spirit.

She described in a series of stories a continuous suffering, which only sharpened her feeling that she is blessed with many advantages.

She said that precisely what she experienced grew in her a strong belief in herself, thanks to which she became the woman she is today.

"I always thought I was smart, beautiful and talented," Weizman pointed out, "How? I don't know."

"When you were a child, were you socially accepted at school? 'Queen of the class', or were you actually 'less'?", the surfers asked.

"That's such a cute question, I've never answered it either!" Weizman admitted.

"So this is it: basically it was fine. I wasn't the queen of the class, but not very far from it either," she shared.

"In middle school, things started to change. Puberty did not benefit me, neither mentally nor physically," she testified.

"There was a group of boys (whom I remember every one of them, all the names and faces to this day) who bullied me a lot. Cursing, humiliation, spitting on the bus to school, and other such 'fun'," she added sarcastically.

"I don't want to give any more ideas here," she warned, fearing the opposite action her story would create among teenagers who read her words.

Later Liron talked about the deterioration from all those difficult and traumatic experiences.

"Everything I went through in the division only helped me become what I am today. And I want you to know something important, that maybe it will help someone here. Always, always, no matter what, and know that I was never the most beautiful of the class, the one everyone was around. Really, really not. So no matter what, my self-confidence was always sky high. I always knew inside that the boys in the division were stupid and that it would pass, and that everything would work out. I always thought I was smart, beautiful, talented, I believed in myself. How? I don't know?", she struggled to explain.

"A strong inner belief that I am a fire. It's all inside! It's all in my head! To this day," she declared.
