(ANSA) - SEUL, 06 OCT - North Korea has today launched two new ballistic missiles towards the Sea of Japan: the South Korean Army General Staff has announced this.
For its part, the Pyongyang Foreign Ministry has confirmed in a statement that the recent missile tests carried out by North Korea are "retaliatory measures" against the joint military exercises of the United States and South Korea.
The launches, the ministry explained, represent "the retaliatory measures of the Korean People's Army against the joint exercises between South Korea and the United States are increasing military tensions on the Korean peninsula. "
