After the success of the first edition in 2018 and the pandemic period, the
Ortona Challenge
is back .
Running through history thanks to the enthusiasm and work of the Crossroad Cultural Association, the ASD Ortona for Runners in Ortona and the Centro Studi Canada Italia in Rome with the patronage of the city of Ortona, Gold Medal for Civil Value.
We will run again - reads a note - in the streets of the city of Ortona, the small Stalingrad of Italy as it was defined by Churchill, crossing the main places that were the scene of the bloody battles of the first battle fought house by house.
The race will take
place on Sunday 16 October
starting at 10 with meeting at 8 in Piazza San Tommaso di Ortona.
The all-city circuit (4.9 km long) will see athletes and non-athletes compete in a competitive race, a non-competitive race and an amateur walk.
There will also be competitions for children and teenagers.
Registrations by e-mail can be sent to
c.ervana2019@virgilio.it
or by consulting the Facebook page of Ortona For Runners and in any case it will also be possible to register on site, up to half an hour before the start of the race.
