Storytelling


Festival October 6-17, Givatayim Theater


The old festival, under the artistic direction of Yossi Alfi, returns with dozens of shows, where thousands of stories will be told.

Among the topics this year: 100 to Yitzchak Navon;

140 years since the rise of Yemenite Judaism;

120 years of KKL-Junk; 125 years of the First Zionist Congress. Among the intriguing events: a meeting between Alfie and Hiram Gaon; a special tribute to Miri Aloni; Iraqi Hafela - the story of Charlie Baghdad with a group of young musicians; a Rambatiko show with the Greek Rambatiko star Katrina Tsiridu and more .

Acre International Theater Festival


October 11-14, the Knights' Halls, at the entrance to the old city and throughout the city,

Eight premiere plays will compete for the best show, alongside incubator plays - premiere plays by promising creators at the beginning of their career.

There will also be shows in the "tent" complex on a special platform in the "Akko-Off" style, which gives new creators the opportunity to be exposed, and guest shows - among them a unique production with the participation of an ensemble of blind and visually impaired actors, which the audience will experience blindfolded.

During the days of the festival, there will be more than 30 free outdoor events throughout the city, plays and street theater, circus shows, live sculptures, clown shows, art and activities for the whole family.

In addition to this, a tribute evening will be held for the late Yaakov Agmon, who was the artistic director of the festival in the 90s, in the presence of the Israel Prize bride - his wife, the actress Gila Almagor Agmon, who will present the "Agmon Award" - a lifetime achievement award named after him, to Mrs. Nava Zuckerman, who heads the Tamune Theater.

The International Children's Play Festival in Be'er Sheva


, October 11-13, at the Youth Center complex and at other locations throughout the Old City.


This year the festival will be held under the banner "They Say Enough to the Boycott!", where the play "This Is Not My Story" will premiere for the first time - an original play based on the story of Jonah the prophet, By Yonathan Schwartzberg and directed by Tom Schwartzberg, about a girl who went through a boycott and who two years later is faced with the dilemma of whether to join the boycott of another child.

More at the festival: plays, shows and workshops for the whole family, in combination with street artists from abroad who will perform together with local artists. Carso Park Science Festival

Muses Festival in Shoham

An art festival that makes a neighborhood


October 12-15, in the Jaffa D.


Zumo neighborhood, the museum on the way, comes to the streets, yards and buildings of the neighborhood with 40 original community-based works by the best Israeli artists.

The exhibition, which was created from the neighborhood, places the works of art right on the doorsteps, and seeks to offer art as a bridge between cultures and as a tool for connecting and generating discourse.

The Abu Gush Festival in Tel Aviv
