in view of the next sessions of the Chamber. The nineteenth legislature begins with the reduction of a third of parliamentarians.

Palazzo Madama will see only 200 elected senators at work instead of 315, while in Montecitorio it will go from 630 deputies to 400.


    The new 'tenants' of Montecitorio will find in the Hemicycle designed by Ernesto Basile 400 benches equipped to intervene and vote and, unlike their outgoing colleagues, they will have a greater availability of space to move around, especially in the upper and lower part of the building. huge room.

In particular, the stations of the last, the penultimate and the first row have been eliminated, and four seats will remain empty in each of the two sectors on the extreme sides and three in each of the remaining six sectors.

In the last session of this legislature, then, the new digital voting boards have already made their debut, on both sides of the Hemicycle: they have replaced the old analogue boards with light bulbs.

In addition to indicating the position in the Chamber of Deputies,

they will also transmit the image while holding his speech, already visible on the webtv of the Chamber.

At the time of the vote, the scoreboard will also illustrate indications on the voting in progress, indicating for example the number of the provision and those of the article and amendment, in order to make it easier to follow the proceedings.


    At Palazzo Madama, on the other hand, only minor adjustments: the superfluous benches will be deactivated in the Hall.

The seats assigned to parliamentarians will be grouped together in the center of the hemicycle while the last row and the benches at the top will not be occupied.


    The first appointment of both Assemblies will be Thursday 13 November when the presidents of the new Chambers will be elected.
