Hassan Nazer: "It's great to see that French artists are mobilizing for Iranian women"

INTERVIEW – The Anglo-Iranian director was present in Brittany, during the 33rd Dinard British Film Festival. He explains to Le Figaro why he supports the Iranian women's movement which is rising in his native country.

is a declaration of love for Iranian cinema.

I thus pay homage to my elders, Abbas Kiarostami, Majid Majidi, or Jafar Panahi who are currently imprisoned.

I hope that we will find a solution that will free them.

I also want to say that the situation being what it is in Iran, my heart is with Iranian women and behind the cause they are defending.”
