At 63, Pr François Olivennes, obstetrician-gynecologist, is one of the leading specialists in medically assisted procreation in France, with an international reputation.
He was even one of the pioneers, before the use of this medicine became more democratic, appearing among the first to join the team of Pr René Frydman, then taking the head of the Reproductive Medicine unit at the Cochin hospital in particular.
In 2006, he left the public hospital service to practice as a liberal.
Coming from a family of the Parisian intelligentsia, he is notably the brother of Denis and Frédéric Olivennes, two figures in the world of the media, or even known in the city for having been the husband of actress Kristin Scott Thomas.
Professor Olivennes has always stood alongside women, forever transforming the treatment - and the very idea - of infertility, and changing the lives of many infertile couples.
