The police in Thuringia are looking for a man who is said to have raped a 14-year-old girl in the toilet of a regional train at the end of July.
As the state police in Jena announced on Friday, the student went to the disabled toilet on the regional train from Erfurt to Altenburg and forgot to lock the door.
An unknown man followed her there and raped her.
Compartment is said to have been “fully occupied”.
The stranger then left the toilet.
It has not yet been clarified which compartment he went to.
Shortly thereafter, the 14-year-old left the toilet and went to her seat.
According to the 14-year-old, the train was full at the time of the crime, the police said.
The compartment in question with the toilet was the bicycle compartment, four passengers were sitting there.
The officials did not provide any information as to why the case from the end of July was only now published.
The police are now looking for witnesses who may have heard something.
The perpetrator is described as about 1.75 meters tall with a normal build and fair, Central European complexion, his dark hair is said to have been short on the sides and longer on the head and combed back.
