CGIL: the procession between flags and slogans begins

"We are not here not against someone but to listen to work", with the aim of "reforming the country to put work, rights and social justice at the center".

Thus the general secretary of the CGIL, Maurizio Landini, from the stage of the national demonstration in Rome "Italy, Europe listen to the work", remarking that it was decided before the electoral outcome.

 "We do not need single men in charge. We have already paid heavily in recent years, both for those who claimed to be on the right and left and then made the same policies. We must all find solutions together."

Thus the general secretary of the CGIL, Maurizio Landini, from the stage of the demonstration in Rome "Italy, Europe listen to the work" in Piazza del Popolo.

"In recent years the governments and the opposition have not listened to the workers, with choices that have gone in the opposite direction. The condition has worsened", he adds.

"We don't want to be called when you have already decided things. I tell anyone who is thinking of forming the government because they have won the elections

."

Thus the general secretary of the CGIL.

"We have no prejudice, we all judge by what they do"

, remarks Landini referring to the next government, but "I give some advice: do not use the previous method, call us at Palazzo Chigi to inform us of the one already decided", in this case " you avoid calling us because we have no intention of being someone's foolish servants. "

COUNT IN THE SQUARE

In Piazza del Popolo, the M5s leader Giuseppe Conte also arrived at the national demonstration of the CGIL.

The former premier poses for the many fans who ask for selfies, but there are also some protesters who say: "You gave the government to Meloni".

Conte replies to those around him: "You can see that he does not follow politics".

Conte, who listened attentively to the Landini secretary a few meters from the stage, applauded the words of the CGIL secretary who asked for the dissolution of the neo-fascist organizations.

THE 10 PROPOSALS OF THE CGIL

    The CGIL asks Italy and Europe to put the issues of work and social justice back at the center and the next government will relaunch the agenda with

its ten proposals

.

Among the points of the Decalogue: the increase in salaries and pensions;

overcoming precariousness;

the introduction of the minimum wage linked to the overall remuneration of national contracts and a law on representation;

a "real" tax reform, "progressive and redistributive" (also affecting extra-profits), with the no to the flat tax;

safety in the workplace;

the need to guarantee and improve a universal measure to fight poverty, such as the Citizenship Income;

make the pension system more flexible by overcoming the Fornero law;

set a ceiling on bills;

making investments and a plan for energy autonomy based on renewables.

    In the evening, at the end of the event (from 7 pm to 10 pm) the extraordinary opening of the Corso d'Italia headquarters is scheduled, also with guided tours.

For the occasion, the restored work of the artist Ennio Calabria, damaged during the attack on 9 October last, will be presented.

The opening will continue tomorrow (from 9.30 to 13) and will include a round table with, among others, the general secretaries of CISL and UIL, Luigi Sbarra and Pierpaolo Bombardieri, and the president of Anpi, Gianfranco Pagliarulo.

"With the #Cgil in these two days in memory of the anniversary of the neo-fascist assault on the national headquarters", writes on Twitter the secretary of the Democratic Party,

Enrico Letta

, who will be present at Corso d'Italia at 19 today.

BOTTA ANSWER MELONI-ORLANDO, THEN FDI PRECISE

"We are experiencing a paradox in which the left - currently in government - takes to the streets against" the policies of the Meloni government "not yet formed. I understand the desire to protest after years of inconclusive executives that have led us into the current disastrous situation, but our goal will be to restore the future, vision and greatness to Italy. We will finally turn the page shortly ", writes on Facebook the President of FdI,

Giorgia Meloni

.

CGIL, Orlando: 'Meloni's words?

Today we are in the square for, not against '

"I reply to Meloni that he has not listened to the trade union's watchword. Today the CGIL only asks to continue a method that is the one that characterizes all European democracies, that of social dialogue and confrontation with the world of work. This is the reason so he thinks it is right to support this slogan ".

This was stated by the Minister of Labor

Andrea Orlando

participating in the procession of the CGIL.

The minister was reminded that a year ago the CGIL asked for the dissolution of neo-fascist groups: can we expect this from this government?

"It seems unlikely to me, but it may be. This is a country full of surprises."

"The CGIL has said in all directions that this is the presentation of its platform, so instead of the past it should start wondering what answers to give on the proposed issues", says the former general secretary of the CGIL and now a member of the Democratic Party,

Susanna Camusso

, responding from the procession to Giorgia's words.

"It should be noted that there is no relationship between the post published this morning on Facebook by Giorgia Meloni and today's CGIL demonstration in Rome

, which apparently was not organized to protest against Meloni. The post of the president of FdI it refers, in fact, to the demonstrations organized in recent days in various Italian cities, in which, among other things, images of Meloni were burned in the square ", specifies the press office of the Brothers of Italy in a note.
