The Court of Appeal of Venice confirmed the conviction of Gianni Zonin for the collapse of the Banca Popolare di Vicenza, but granted the banker a large penalty: 3 years and 11 months for the sentence (the Attorney General had asked for 5 years and 10 months), against the 6 years and 6 months inflicted in the first degree.
The sentence was read a little while ago in the bunker hall of Mestre by the president Francesco Giuliano.
Same sentence, 3 years and 11 months, for the former CEO Andrea Piazzetta, as well as for the former director Massimiliano Pellegrini, 3 years and 4 months for the other former CEO Paolo Marin, 2 years and 7 months for the other former CEO Emanuele Giustini.
