Last year, two teenagers threw a 14-year-old classmate into the Seine – the girl died.
Now the perpetrator and the perpetrator in France have been sentenced to several years in prison in the second instance.
A court of appeals in Versailles sentenced a 17-year-old man to 13 years in prison for murder, while his 16-year-old co-defendant was sentenced to 10 years in prison for manslaughter.
In the first instance, both had been sentenced to ten years in prison.
The case shocked many people in France.
14-year-old Alisha had been bullied in the weeks leading up to the crime.
According to the investigation, the two young people finally lured Alisha to a meeting point under a bridge over the Seine in early March 2021 and beat her there.
The two then threw their victim from the base of a bridge pier into the Seine, where she drowned.
The body was found near Argenteuil.
The perpetrators were 15 years old at the time of the attack and initially showed no remorse.
