The European Commission has approved an Italian state aid plan worth 100 million euros to support the modernization of the mills of companies that produce extra virgin olive oil.
This was announced by a note from the European Commission.
The plan will be funded through the recovery and resilience instrument and its aim is to encourage companies producing extra virgin olive oil to improve the efficiency of their mills.
The scheme provides support in the form of direct grants and will last until 31 December 2026. The aid per beneficiary will not exceed 50% of the eligible costs.
