Targets and requests change but not the influx of patients for aesthetic medicine: the consolidation of treatments and trust in professionals is growing, attention to environmental sustainability increases and, also thanks to technology, new methodologies and approaches to patient.

This is the photograph presented by the update of the National Observatory of Aesthetic Medicine by the scientific society Agorà and presented on the occasion of the Agorà 2022 congress, which opens today.

An appointment that makes Milan the center of new approaches to beauty and well-being.

"All the main requests - notes Professor Alberto Massirone, president of Agorà - are declined in a search for beauty that starts from the newfound attention to prevention, as well as from scarce invasiveness,

and aims at the newly found general improvement of the image.

This is possible thanks to the constant updating that the aesthetic doctor carries out to ensure high standards of safety and reliability ".

The Observatory estimates that the loyal patient faces an annual expense in aesthetic medicine between 700 and 2500 euros for face, body and other treatments.

The face treatments most requested by women are fillers (59%), botulinum toxin (44%), skin revitalization (33%), peeling (23%), followed by prp and traction threads.

For men, on the other hand, botulinum toxin (39%), fillers (34%), peeling (28%), follow the same as for women traction lines.

Among the body treatments most requested by women there are intradermotherapy (28%), carboxytherapy and laser hair removal on a par (25%), laser treatments for spots (21%),

vascular treatments (19%).

For men in the head, as for women, intradermal therapy (25%), followed by laser hair removal (21%), carboxytherapy (19%), laser tattoo removal (17%) and spot laser (13%).

Looking at the age groups, skin revitalization is required in the 30-40 and 40-60 age group, while laser tattoo removal is more requested by the 30-40 age group but also among young people the trend of the tattooed body seems to decrease. .

Social media are increasingly influencing the canons of beauty among young people, so much so that there are requests for more and more artificial and unnatural looks and which mainly affect face countouring or fashions such as "russian lips", "california lips" and "foxy" eyes ".

From the age of thirty, on the other hand, the need is to have an antiating effect and to counteract tissue sagging or localized adiposity.
