The eight qualified for the Nitto ATP Finals in Turin, scheduled from 13 to 20 November at Pala Alpitour, are being defined.
Thanks to the title won at the Astana Open Novak Djokovic is the fifth player qualified for the tournament at the end of the season after Rafael Nadal, Carlos Alcaraz, Casper Ruud and Stefanos Tsitsipas.
Djokovic is tenth in the Pepperstone ATP Live Race To Turin, the ranking based on seasonal results, but the regulation guarantees the last place in the Finals to a Grand Slam champion who finishes the season between the eighth and the twentieth position in the Race.
The road is complicated for the Italians Jannik Sinner - still absent after an ankle injury in the semifinal of the Sofia tournament - and Matteo Berrettini, who this week will be on stage at the Firenze Open, ATP 250. In fact, the American also entered the race. Taylor Fritz who, thanks to the success in Tokyo, climbed to seventh place in the Race, also overtaking the Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime.
Simone Bolelli and Fabio Fognini earn a position in the Race and are now in ninth place: the Azzurri remain at 335 points from the couple formed by the German Tim Puetz and the New Zealander Michael Venus who occupy the eighth position, the last useful to remove the pass for the Turin Finals.
