This is the challenge of Simone Masotti, a forty-year-old architect from Pradamano (Udine), told in the book "By bicycle are free", written together with Max Mauro and published by Ediciclo.



Simone tells of his passion for the pedal born when he was just a child, of his bike raids in the mountains of Friuli.

Then, the discovery of the disease, which slows him down in his movements and speech.

But Simone does not lose heart.

He resumes riding his bike, he discovers that physical exercise is actually a cure-all for his illness, reduces symptoms and the use of medicines.



Supported by his wife, son and all his country, the architect from Udine manages to make all his dreams come true.



Not only does he become a true expert on the cycling routes of his territory, but he also participates in cycle trips in Italy and abroad with the famous cyclist Sergio Borroni, up to the legendary Ragbrai in the United States: 700 kilometers in a week for the plains of Iowa, along with 30,000 other cyclists.



"With my stories I want to encourage people who suffer from a disease like mine - he comments -, but also those who have no health problems, yet feel unhappy or unsuitable. Believe in your passions, in what makes you feel. good. Dreams, after all, are nothing but thoughts that make us feel good ".
