Three years after their last studio album, US punk rock band Blink-182 have announced a new album and a world tour - with the original line-up.

After seven years, Tom DeLonge returns as a band member.

DeLonge formed the band in 1992 with Mark Hoppus and Scott Raynor, and drummer Travis Barker joined in 1998.

In 2015, DeLonge left the band after arguments over the new album.

Matt Skiba took over for DeLonge, who is now apparently leaving Blink again.

A new single will be released this Friday, according to the video.

The world tour also takes Blink-182 to Germany, in September 2023 there will be concerts in Cologne, Berlin and Hamburg.

Blink-182 had their international breakthrough in 1999 with the single "All the Small Things" and the album "Enema of the State".

In 2005 the band took a break, solo projects followed, and in 2009 there was a first reunion.

The announcement video was celebrated on Twitter.

"Blink-182's reunion is the biggest news for millennials since AOL shut down its instant messenger," one user wrote.

Messenger AIM was one of the pioneers of live chats on the Internet, and AOL announced the shutdown in 2017.
