First come, first served - the old adage might be true.
Research has found that companies that respond quickly are more successful.
Look through job offers, adjust and send applications - and then first of all hear nothing from the company for a long time.
This is the bitter reality for some applicants.
However, a study has now shown that companies that respond quickly to applications are more successful.

Successful companies have fast recruiting
Companies want to be and remain competitive - for this they need an attractive working environment and, above all, talented people who can move the company forward.
In research, the job portal
Instaffo
found out that companies that react quickly to applications have more job interviews.
There are two main reasons for this: Fast companies are seen as innovators and pioneers and are therefore appealing to applicants.

Positive aspects of quick feedback at successful companies
As in general in life, it is about the effect and perception - this is usually different naturally and depends on the point of view from which you observe a situation.
However, every person also has a "blind spot", i.e. characteristics that are unknown to the person and possibly also to others.
In social psychology, this is known as the Johari window.
So what can companies do to be successful and influence the perception of applicants?
The following points can help:
Appreciation: Fast feedback from companies has a positive effect on applicants.
Speed: Especially in sectors such as IT, talented people can be choosy.
If an answer takes too long, applicants could choose another company.
Safety: Offer your potential employees a safe working environment.
Objective: Make your work philosophy and the company's goal clear - if applicants understand this, then they can also help directly as employees to work on it.

The faster an answer, the higher the probability of hiring good employees
If companies react quickly to the incoming application, the time from the job advertisement to the signed employment contract is usually shorter.
Instaffo looked
at around 1,500 application processes and found the following: If seven days pass from the application to the interview and if the time for answers between the company and the applicant is 24 hours, the probability of finding talent increases by 31 percent.
A little tip: For the first step towards faster responses to applications, an automatic e-mail after receipt of the application is usually sufficient.
This gives applicants direct assurance that the application has been received and is being processed further.
