Jura: to save the natural lake of Chalain, victim of overtourism, the giant campsite will close

Rarely has a local authority taken such a radical decision in terms of the environment.

All the elected officials of the Jura departmental council have voted in principle to close the Domaine de Chalain campsite, on the edge of one of the most beautiful natural lakes in the region.

With immediate effect, since there will be no next summer season for this large campsite, which housed 727 pitches.
