Oksana Leontieva
was a doctor in the children's bone marrow transplant ward at the Okhmatdyt Children's Cancer Hospital in Kiev.
And yesterday she was on her way to work, after dropping her baby in kindergarten.
But she never reached her destination: she was killed by Russian raids on the center of the capital.
The news - reports the Guardian - was the same hospital that on Facebook described Leontieva as "a dedicated and responsible person and doctor. A true professional and a support for her patients and colleagues".
Anton Gerashchenko, Volodymyr Zelensky's senior presidential adviser, stressed that now her five-year-old child has been orphaned: Oksana, she recalls on Twitter posting a photo of the doctor, had lost her husband six months ago.
