They could have another opportunity to do so, in a third round.

But after eighteen months of battle before the Competition Authority, the subsidiary of the Bouygues group had to throw in the towel.
In early October 2022, a second round of bidding was urgently set up by RTL Group.
Xavier Niel, allied with the Berlusconi family, the trio Stéphane Courbit-Rodolphe Saadé-Marc Ladreit de Lacharrière as well as the billionaire Daniel Kretinsky have once again submitted offers.
In vain, because on October 4, RTL Group finally decided to keep its subsidiary.
