Shortly after the death of actor Willi Herren, unknown persons apparently gained access to his apartment – who remains unclear for the time being.
A preliminary investigation conducted against unknown persons was discontinued a few months ago, as the Cologne public prosecutor's office announced on request.
A perpetrator could not be identified.
Herren was found dead in his apartment in the Mülheim district of Cologne in April 2021.
He was 45 years old.
An autopsy showed that third-party negligence can be ruled out, as the public prosecutor had announced.
In the following night, one or more perpetrators are said to have gained access to the premises previously sealed off by the police.
According to the public prosecutor's office, several "valuable objects were lost".
"Bild" had reported that a television, a credit card folder and a valuable wristwatch had been stolen.
The public prosecutor's office now said: No signs of a break-in were discovered on the apartment door that would indicate a forced entry.
It is assumed that the intruders had a key.
Estate auctioned for 8000 euros
Hundreds of items from Willi Herren's personal possessions were recently offered at an online auction.
The proceeds of the auction, a good 8,000 euros, should flow into the insolvency estate of the deceased actor.
According to earlier information from the insolvency administrator, creditors have registered claims totaling around 400,000 euros in the process.
Herren had become known to a large audience as the serial villain "Olli Klatt" in the ARD series "Lindenstraße".
Later, the Cologne party hit sang on Ballermann, most recently he was seen in reality shows, for example in the RTL jungle camp, in the "Summer House of the Stars" and in "Celebrity Big Brother".
