(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, OCTOBER 12 - "I hope that the new Italian government, as regards the issues of security and support for Ukraine, will maintain the same position as the previous one, it is very important that this happens".
The high representative of EU foreign policy JosepBorrell, interviewed by ANSA, praises.
"My task is not to deal with the internal political dynamics of the Member States but it is clear that this dynamic then has an impact on our external projection: the European Union's foreign policy depends on our internal cohesion and our unity," explains Borrell.
Speaking last Monday to the EU ambassadors, Borrella had indicated the growth of the far right as a possible risk for the internal cohesion of the EU.
Was it a reference to Italy?
"I don't think we need to mention a particular country," he said today.
