(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, OCTOBER 12 - On the price cap "we believe that negotiating the price with suppliers" is a "better" option, but if this is not possible, the Commission evaluates "a mechanism to limit them" in any case.
This was stated by EU Commissioner for Energy Kadri Simson at a press conference in Prague after the informal summit of the European energy ministers.
Simson confirmed that the Commission will present the package on Tuesday, October 18.
"We will see over the weekend how to proceed with the gas ceiling for the production of electricity and whether at this point the proposal has a large majority in favor of this measure".
This was stated by the European Commissioner for Energy, KadriSimson, at the end of the informal Council in Prague.
"On October 18 we will propose the proposals that have the highest consensus", he highlighted.
