(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, OCTOBER 12 - "I think the time has come to sanction the people responsible" for the repression of Iranian women and the "violation" of their rights.
This was said by the president of the European Commission, Ursula von derLeyen, speaking at the Conference of Ambassadors.
"The shocking violence inflicted on the Iranian people cannot remain unanswered and we must work together on sanctions," she highlighted.
