The various Social Security funds (pensions, health, family and work accidents) have just validated the valuation of 3.5% of the index point of their 150,000 employees, announced Wednesday, the management of Ucanss (Union national social security funds).

If this revaluation was ardently demanded by the unions, it is below their wishes to align with inflation (5.6% over one year in September).

The last revaluation of the index point for social security employees dates back to 2017 (+0.5).

Boost

In September, the four ministers responsible for social security, Olivier Dussopt (Labour), François Braun (Health), Jean-Christophe Combe (Solidarities) and Gabriel Attal (Budget), had called for "

a revaluation of the same magnitude as that of the public service

", in order to "

continue to preserve the purchasing power of social security employees

".

"

Our objective was to adapt our salary policy to find the best solutions in order to support Social Security employees in the context of inflation, but also to enhance their commitment, particularly in the health crisis

", explained Isabelle. Bertin, director of Ucanss, in a press release.

This decision took effect on October 1, 2022 and was accompanied by other support measures for employees closest to the minimum wage.

Employees whose salary is up to 15% above the minimum wage on June 1, 2022 will benefit from around 15 to 100 euros gross per month

”, details Ucanss.

A boost to which is added 200 euros of additional profit-sharing for employees who can claim it.
