Renewed this Wednesday, the strike movement was supplemented by a new union force.
Force Ouvrière has announced that it will in turn engage in the mobilization for wages, launched by the CGT at TotalEnergies, which is causing fuel shortages in a third of French service stations.
“The FO unions of Donges (Loire-Atlantique), Feyzin (Rhône), Normandy (Seine-Maritime), La Mède (Bouches-du-Rhône), Grandpuits/Gargenville (Seine-et-Marne), Flandres (Nord) have all joined the legitimate strike started on September 27, 2022, “said Force Ouvrière in a press release.
The union organization, which is not representative at group level but is the fourth force in the petrochemical refining branch, deplores in particular the government's decision to requisition strikers in the event that the movement continues, and the group's communication, which "let go of its employees to popular condemnation by passing them off as wealthy people".
At the end of the Council of Ministers, Olivier Véran indeed announced that other requisitions were “not to be excluded”.
“In Dunkirk, it can change at any time.
If the blockage continues, we will go,” he told reporters.
FO also denounces the absence of "a social dialogue worthy of the name" in the company.
The CGT was however received Wednesday for the first time by the management since the beginning of the movement.
