(ANSA) - NEW YORK, OCTOBER 12 - The UN General Assembly has adopted a resolution that clearly condemns the "illegal so-called referendums" and the "attempted illegal annexation" of Russia of four provinces of Ukraine, not valid under international law.
The countries that voted in favor are 143, 5 against and 35 abstentions.
The countries that voted against the resolution of the UN General Assembly are, in addition to Moscow, Belarus, Syria, Nicaragua, North Korea.
India and China abstained.
