(ANSA) - ARQUATA DEL TRONTO, 12 OCT - A worker died and another was injured in an accident at work that took place this morning in Colle d'Arquata del Tronto (Ascoli Piceno), in the seismic crater.
According to a first reconstruction, the two were working on the placement of a metal containment net on a ridge when something went wrong and both fell.
The conditions of one of the two immediately appeared very serious;
On the spot arrived the health workers of 118, the firefighters and the carabinieri.
The air ambulance was also alerted.
For the man, however, there was nothing more to be done.
Fortunately, the other worker was not seriously injured.
The duest were working on behalf of a company engaged in a work of securing and reducing the geological risk of the provincial road of Colle d'Arquata after the 2016 earthquake.
In the area there are various open construction sites, also for post-earthquake reconstruction.
