The short film that aims to raise awareness on the issue of bone marrow donation is entitled 'Il Maggiore Tom', with the contribution of ADMO.
The short film, which will be presented on Saturday out of competition at the Rome Film Festival, tells the true story of Andrea Farinacci, a patient hospitalized at the Tor Vergata Polyclinic, a boy who fought for his life but didn't make it.
He is remembered for his strength and courage and the strong desire to raise awareness on the donation of bone marrow.
He was suffering from a haematological disease that required stem cell transplantation as a curative therapy.
Through his family, his numerous friends, the ADMO association and social networks, Andrea has created a great network of solidarity with the nickname Major Tom.

The short film will be used in the meetings that ADMO will hold in schools and universities to inform boys and girls and the entire population in general about the donation of bone marrow.
The ultimate mission of the association is to raise awareness of the donation of hematopoietic stem cells with the aim of increasing the number of donors registered in the Italian register more and more because this would save many lives.
Fabrizio Moro and Angelica Massera will also participate in the presentation at the Rome Festival.
The short film is produced by Andrea Torre in collaboration with Synart Production and Movi Production.
