"The personal secret becomes a collective event"
And these are the words of the judges at the festival (Yoshua Sobol, Hana Vazna, Nimrod Danishman, Yosef Ibn Shushan and Yosef Abu Varda) about the winning plays.
About "I Love You Special" it is said that it is a fascinating show that excels in its original theatrical treatment of mother-daughter relationships inspired by the classic play "Medea", through the contrast between concealment and exposure that is theatrically expressed in the contrast between a mask and physical and mental nakedness, presented in well-directed acting and movement, and all of this goes on A tightrope between imagination and reality.
For all these, we decided to award the best show award to 'I Love You Special'.
The show "Bloubri" was called a touching theatrical event that unfolds the story of the creators of the show in the human longing for a child, and in their arduous journey between fertility treatments, gynecologists and a culture that sanctifies childbirth.
Using a unique, documentary and performative theatrical language, the play outlines a traumatic journey, where loss pursues loss, and is still full of hope.
The ability to turn the personal, private secret into a collective event carries with it the gospel of healing.
For all these, we decided to award the best show award to "Bloobri".
