"I talk to the team every day, retirement is not a punishment: it's a time to be together and find time to do double training, to restore order": this is how Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri, on the decision to go in retirement in view of the derby, after the defeat in the Champions League.
"These are unfounded rumors, the team has never asked not to retire - added the coach - but we returned from Haifa in the afternoon, we did training, then we met again the next morning: when there are no results, we tend to see more black than it is, but now we have to let the pitch talk and try to get a positive result. "
Allegri then takes a look at Juventus' position in the standings.
"We are late in the championship, we are paying for the week between Salerno and Monza and he is penalizing us - he adds - but there are 29 games, there is time to recover".
On the way to the Champions League, however, he postpones: "We'll think about it after Empoli," says the Juventus coach.
