The sting on Italian electricity and gas bills will reach the maximum figure of 4,724 euros per family in 2023, with an increase in spending of almost 2,500 euros per family compared to the rates in force at the end of 2021.
This was stated by Codacons, which carried out a study on the repercussions that expensive energy will have on Italians' pockets next year.
Already the latest increase in electricity tariffs ordered by Arera (+ 59% since October) brings the average electricity bill to 1,782 euros on an annual basis per family, with a growth of + 122% compared to the last quarter of 2021 which corresponds to an increase in expenditure equal to +662 euros per unit.
