Anyone who is not a man or woman of big words can look forward to a new WhatsApp function.
Emojis allow for a quick reaction to a person's status.
Munich - Since WhatsApp has belonged to the technology company Meta, more and more similarities can be found between the messenger service and the social networks Instagram and Facebook.
For example, a “story” can be uploaded to all three apps.
In WhatsApp, this option is called “Status”.
But another popular feature of Instagram has also been adopted by WhatsApp.
Since summer 2022 it is possible to react to messages with an emoji.
Now there is another update that many users of Instagram will know.
New WhatsApp feature: React to statuses with emojis
The ability to respond to messages with emojis will be expanded.
Users can now also react to the WhatsApp status of their contacts with an emoji, as reported

Eight reaction emojis will then be displayed to choose from.
In the next few weeks, the selection of emojis may increase, as before with the news reactions.

A few days ago, the messenger service released another update that affected the status.
Previously, this could be called up on the "Status" tab.
