Back to square one for Salto.
Two years after its launch, the subscription video platform born of a partnership between TF1, France Télévisions and M6, finds itself in uncertainty.
The merger between the two private groups was to sign the end of this three-way marriage in streaming.
To have a free hand in order to develop the platform, TF1 and M6 had concluded, in March, an arrangement with France Télévisions: in exchange for the purchase of its stake in Salto, they had undertaken to pay 45 million euros to the public audiovisual group.
Six months later, everything has to be redone.
