Phishing emails: Lidl, Kaufland and Netto customers should be careful

Phishing e-mails, with which fraudsters try to deceive consumers, keep appearing.
Consumer advocates warn.
Munich – Customers from Lidl, Kaufland or Netto should be careful.
Because there is currently dangerous news in circulation.
Although the message on Facebook is a few days older, it still seems to stir some emotions in the Facebook community.
Because the e-mail is obviously a phishing e-mail.
The NRW consumer advice center therefore advises in its radar group to keep your hands off it.
In the e-mail, the customers of the supermarkets only have to confirm their prize and can then start shopping according to the message.
Paypal is also among the spam candidates.

But obviously companies like Lidl, Kaufland and Paypal have nothing to do with the sender.
Fortunately, most users' emails end up straight in the trash.
The online banking of the Sparkasse and the Volksbanken is – not for the first time – among the victims of phishing.
A user claims to have received such a phishing email three times in one day.
The consumer advocates from NRW write:
"Numerous emails with different logos of the Volksbanken and Raiffeisenbanken are forwarded to us again.
In one of them, one is informed that an identification was allegedly not carried out, which is why the account had to be restricted 'as a precaution'.
Allegedly, this measure has been mandatory for the bank since the introduction of 'the new EU payment directive'.
If you complete this process via the attached link, the account restriction will be lifted.”
As always, the criminals try to get their hands on personal data under some pretext.
So: Don't click on the link, just move the e-mail to the spam folder without reply!

The advice from consumer advocates to be careful online is therefore appropriate if criminals want to get hold of personal data in order to then be able to sell it to advertisers.
And so a further e-mail from the
ING-DiBa direct bank
with a phishing link at
Verbraucherschutz.com
is now being warned.
The warning states:
"Currently, the criminals are not just targeting the access data for online banking from ING-DiBa customers.
Rather, the fake e-mails should also be used to find out the users' credit card details.
These can be sold well in the appropriate circles and the damage to be expected for bank customers is particularly great.”

Online users should therefore always be careful with e-mails.
Lure offers such as gift vouchers and gift card offers are also often sent as a chain letter or via WhatsApp.
Because the fraudulent emails often look deceptively real.
This is what happened when we tried to brazenly deceive consumers on the subject of energy flat-rates.
