New day of demonstration in Paris to demand a rise in wages, organized by the CGT.
At the start of the demonstration in the streets of Paris, Philippe Martinez, general secretary of the CGT attacked President Emmanuel Macron.
“He (President Emmanuel Macron, editor’s note) must not go shopping often, because if we take basic necessities, pasta, flour, meat, fruit, it is rather an increase to two figures only one figure, so he is completely off the ground and he was self-satisfied, as he had said he would stop doing, ”laughed Philippe Martinez.
While the demonstration of October 18, at the height of the mobilization of the refineries, had not mobilized much, the general secretary of the CGT assured: "We need to continue to maintain this pressure so that there are increases in salary and then also put pressure on the government because the remarks of the President of the Republic which consist in saying: "wages, it is not us", it is false".
In full school holidays, this day of demonstration promises to be little mobilizing.
Especially since the CGT is the only union to have called for mobilization.
