(ANSA) - ROME, OCTOBER 30 - The Russian oligarch Yevgeny Prigozhin has published an online post in which he seems to admit the accusations that his private military company, the Wagner Group, allegedly changed its standards and recruited Russian prisoners suffering from serious illness, including including HIV and hepatitis C: this highlights an approach that now favors quantity over experience or the quality of fighters.
He tweeted the intelligence of the Ministry of Defense in his daily report on the situation in Ukraine.
Prigozhin, very close to President Vladimir Putin, recently discussed plans to create a 200-kilometer long defensive "Wagner Line" in eastern Ukraine.
This venture requires a large workforce, British intelligence notes.
