A traditional company has to file for bankruptcy because the company has suffered irreparable damage.
Osnabrück – The German kitchen manufacturer Rational Fitted Kitchens Solutions GmbH has filed for bankruptcy or has filed for bankruptcy.
However, there are apparently neither bottlenecks caused by the Ukraine war or the corona pandemic, which Ikea is struggling with, nor a lack of customers, as RUHR24 learned.

Instead, a total failure was the trigger for the bankruptcy application.
This resulted in "considerable damage to the IT servers", as first reported by the industry magazine
Unternehmer Edition
.
As the insolvency administrator Stefan Meyer from Pluta explains, production is still on hold due to the failure of the server systems.
"Together with the management and the highly qualified workforce, we will look for solutions as quickly as possible so that a future solution can be found for the traditional company after the unavoidable interruption of sales, planning, production and sales," says Meyer.

The kitchen manufacturer from Osnabrück was founded in 1963 and currently has 64 employees.
It is not yet clear what exactly will happen to them after filing for bankruptcy.

But a large number of customers are likely to be affected by the insolvency and the production delay.
Rational Fitted Kitchens employs an external company for production and not only sells its items and designs in Germany.
Customers in another 50 countries are supplied by the company.

According to research by RUHR24, it is still possible for customers to purchase kitchens from the manufacturer.
The dealer search on the company website is still active.
Rational Fitted Kitchens is not the only company to have filed for bankruptcy recently.
The confectionery manufacturer Leysieffer was also about to close twelve locations.
A large brewery also had to file for bankruptcy after 150 years.
